The Board of the Electricity Regulatory Office (ERO) held its next meeting today where it decided to reduce heating tariffs for Pristina and Gjakova.

The chairman of the board of this office, Ymer Fejzullahu, has announced to the Telegraph that the tariff for those who heat from Termokos in Pristina has been reduced by about 4 percent and the heating tariff in Gjakova by about 5%.

"We held a meeting and decided to reduce tariffs. 5% for Gjakova and 4% for Termokos only for metered customers," said Fjezullahu.

For the 2026 heating season, the tariffs approved by the Energy Regulatory Office for unmetered household consumers are 76 cents/m² per month, while the tariff for commercial/institutional consumers is: 95 cents/m² per month.

The current price for metered heating was 76 cents per kilowatt per month, set last year.

With the new price, consumers in Pristina will now pay 73 cents per kilowatt per month, while those in Gjakova will pay 72 cents.

Termokos has about 25.000 customers in the capital city with 227.154 inhabitants. The heating season from Termokos usually starts on October 15 and continues until April 15. /Telegraph/
