Zirkzee emerges as a strong candidate for Inter's attack

After long being linked with a move to Juventus, Joshua Zirkzee is now emerging as a concrete target for Inter, who are looking to reshape their attacking options this summer.

The Dutchman is coming to the end of a disappointing season at Manchester United, having scored just seven goals in 48 appearances in all competitions - a setback that casts serious doubts over his future at Old Trafford.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Zirkzee's troubles in England could work in Inter's favor, potentially allowing the Nerazzurri to open negotiations with more favorable terms for a player who has already shown his worth in Serie A.

A blend of technique, physical presence and talent makes the 23-year-old an ideal reinforcement for Simone Inzaghi's side - a versatile option who could provide cover and competition for Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

The Nerazzurri are also optimistic about the financial feasibility of a deal, as they plan to propose a loan with an option to buy - which could become an obligation under certain conditions.

Having paid around €40m to sign the Bologna striker last season, Manchester United could be open to a lower fee, with Inter hoping his poor season in the Premier League will help bring the price down. /Telegraph/
