French coach Zinedine Zidane is reportedly not the first on the list of Los Blancos executives to become the team's coach from the 2025/26 season.
According to the medium Central Defense, Zidane could return to Real Madrid, with Carlo Ancelotti set to leave the club at the end of the season.
While Zidane's departure from Real Madrid in 2021 was marked by frustration over media pressure, sources close to the Frenchman suggest he is open to rejoining the club if the opportunity arises.
Ancelotti's departure, although not yet official, is already known within the Madrid team.
The Italian coach has reportedly decided to take over as Brazil's national team coach. As a result, discussions about his successor are already underway.
Xabi Alonso and Jurgen Klopp are among the leading candidates, although neither has given an immediate confirmation.
Alonso, who has led Bayer Leverkusen to success, is said to be reluctant to leave his current project, while Klopp has stated that he plans to take a break from coaching in the near future.
Amidst these uncertainties, Zidane is considered a possible option by Real Madrid. Although the former player and coach remains committed to his long-term goal of managing the French national team after the 2026 World Cup, he has not ruled out a return to Madrid.
Sources indicate that if Real Madrid make a move for Zidane, he would consider delaying his plans to manage France. /Telegraph/
