LDK MP and former Minister of Health, Armend Zemaj, has reacted to the situation created by the lack of hemodialysis materials, describing this as a continuation of successive scandals in the health sector.

On TV Dukagjini, he emphasized that the problem is not just a recent one, but is related to a long history of mismanagement and failed drug supplies.

Zemaj said that this crisis is the result of the capture of the system by certain interest groups that he called the "pharmaceutical mafia".

"This has been coming to the surface for a few days in the media. It is one of the ongoing scandals that have occurred in this sector. But, this has its own stories of mismanagement that have been done with poor supplies of medicines these four years. Not to mention that this is about groups, which I have mentioned in your studio as pharmaceutical mafia groups.

"That they have created a monopoly with some people who have special names and who are politically responsible. But also the executive part that has captured the poor health sector. Even which has not managed to give the maximum that is necessary. And today we are in this situation that we face these challenges (such as the lack of hemodialysis services)", said Zemaj.
