Zelensky was talking to reporters, he was "interrupted" by Macron's phone call - footage from this interesting moment

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received a call from French counterpart Emmanuel Macron while he was speaking to reporters.

The call happened completely unexpectedly while Zelensky was speaking to reporters, the Telegraph reports.

"Excuse me, Emmanuel! I'm just having a conversation with journalists. Can I call back in 15-20 minutes," the Ukrainian president replied to his French counterpart.

After that, Zelensky was asked if the French president really called him.

"Yes, I just spoke with Macron. We talk often. Once a day, I would say that's the average," Zelensky added.

The Ukrainian president also stressed that Ukraine and France have close relations and that Macron has "helped the Ukrainians a lot."

"I am grateful to him for this and I will call him after this conversation," Zelensky concluded. /Telegraph/
