Zelensky says Trump is living in a bubble of disinformation, rejects US president's offer for minerals: I can't sell our country

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said US demands for the return of $500 billion as part of a minerals deal are not "a serious conversation," but says he will work on a "serious document" if it contains security guarantees.

Asked what would provide the best guarantees for Ukraine, Zelensky stressed that "NATO is the strongest guarantee."

Donald Trump is "trapped in a bubble of disinformation", Zelensky said this morning as the US appeared to blame Ukraine for starting the war.

Speaking at a press conference, the Ukrainian leader said he is seeing "a lot of disinformation" from Russia.

"With all due respect to President Donald Trump as a leader, he is living in this space of disinformation," he said.

Zelensky also dismisses claims that his approval ratings are at 4 percent as Russian disinformation, and says efforts to replace him during the war against Russia would not work.

"Since we are talking about 4 percent, we have seen this disinformation, we understand that it comes from Russia," he adds.

The comments come after Trump claimed that Zelensky had a 4 percent approval rating in Ukraine.

It should be noted that Zelensky's rating is actually around 50 percent, which is similar to Trump's. /Telegraph
