Zelensky: Ukraine has evidence that China is supplying artillery to Russia

Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine has evidence that China is supplying Russia with artillery and gunpowder.

The Ukrainian president also claims that Beijing is helping to produce certain types of weapons on Russian territory.

This comes after Ukraine says it has captured two Chinese nationals fighting in eastern Ukraine, writes skynews.

He said Ukrainian forces had confronted six Chinese soldiers and two of them had been taken prisoner. The Ukrainian leader added that he had ordered officials to seek an explanation from Beijing.

Speaking on other issues, Zelensky also said that a long-awaited minerals agreement with the US could be signed during an online meeting this Thursday.

US President Donald Trump has pushed forward with a deal that would allow the US to share in the profits from Ukraine's critical natural resources and minerals. He presents it as a form of repayment for military aid Washington provided to Ukraine during Joe Biden's previous presidency.

Zelensky also accused US special envoy Steve Witkoff, who met with Vladimir Putin in St Petersburg last week, of "spreading Russian narratives" about the war in Ukraine. /Telegraph/
