Zelensky's first reaction comes after Putin announced a temporary ceasefire

Although Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has yet to directly comment on Vladimir Putin's announcement of a temporary ceasefire for Easter, he has just posted a summary of the situation in the Kursk region on the social network X.

Zelensky said Ukrainian forces are "holding their positions."

In the post he wrote:

"I just received a report from Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky. Today our forces continued to operate on the territory of the Kursk region and hold their positions. In the Belgorod region, our fighters advanced and expanded the area of control."

“As for another attempt by Putin to manipulate people’s lives – at this moment air raid alarms are sounding all over Ukraine. At 17:15, Russian attack drones were detected in our sky. Ukrainian air defense and air force have already begun to act to protect us. The presence of Shahed drones in our airspace clearly reveals Putin’s true attitude towards Easter and towards human lives.”

Incidentally, this reaction comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin has just declared a temporary ceasefire for Easter. /Telegraph/
