One in four children (about 27 percent) have admitted that they logged on to the Internet at a friend's house just to bypass the rules set by their parents, Telegrafi reports.

While, an alarming figure of 10 percent say that they have never talked to their parents about their activity on the Internet.

This has resulted in many children being exposed to unseen content online.

According to the survey conducted by the security company Kaspersky Lab, 42 percent of 10-year-old children have been exposed to foul language, while 28 percent say they have seen violent images.

Whereas, a figure of 11 percent admitted that they had the opportunity to access pornographic materials.

The company in question advises all parents to discuss internet safety with their children from an early age. /Telegraph/
