Political analyst Visar Ymeri has reacted with harsh criticism to the recent positions of acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, describing them as contradictory and dangerous for Kosovo's strategic interests.

Through a reaction on social media, Ymeri has questioned Kurti's statements, stating that he does not consider Serbia's close ties with Russia a problem for Kosovo and the region, while expressing disagreements with the United States of America over developments in the north of the country.

"How is Serbia's departure from Russia not our problem? Isn't Russian influence in Europe and the region a general threat to security, democracy, and progress?" Ymeri writes.

He describes Russia-aligned Serbia as a "militarily empowered, internally authoritarian and dangerous state for everyone in the region," citing Belgrade's destabilizing influence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedonia.

In this context, Ymeri accuses Kurti of "Kosovo's security is not his problem," referring to the government's lack of reaction to Serbia's orientation towards Moscow.

In the rest of the reaction, he focuses on Kosovo's relations with the US, commenting on Kurti's statements to students that the United States disagrees with the way the government is establishing law and order in the north.

"Kurti is saying that the US supports crime in the north because it sanctions Kosovo when it fights it. Therefore, (Kurti's) problem is not Russian influence in Serbia, but American influence in Kosovo," Ymeri writes.

He adds that does Kurti know what he's talking about? or is he just freestyling (whatever comes to mind for what)?

"I hope you really don't know. I hope these attitudes are coincidental," Ymeri wrote. /Telegrafi/
