Yamal chooses his two favorite Inter players, also talks about comparisons with Messi

Spanish sensation Lamine Yamal has admitted that he really likes Nicolo Barella and Lautaro Martinez, but has insisted that he will not compare himself to Leo Messi.

Yamal held a press conference on Tuesday, joining Barcelona coach Hansi Flick.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) the Blaugranas will host the Serie A giants in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals.

Yamal said that Barcelona has a great desire to qualify for the final and show their quality.

"I really like Barella and Lautaro. When they have the ball, they play very well and defend very well. They are a team I like to watch."

Inter lost to Roma on Sunday just two days ago, while Barcelona played a tough match against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final, which went to extra time.

This is the first time Yamal has played in a Champions League semi-final, but he doesn't seem to feel the pressure before the match.

"I don't have that fear, but I have the motivation before the match. I left the fear behind in a park in Mataro a long time ago. I wouldn't call it pressure. In the end, I go out on the pitch and enjoy myself. I take it as a good thing and feel like I'm enjoying the moment."

"As a footballer, I want to be remembered as a player and as a person, I want to be polite, something my parents taught me at home."

Leo Messi recently praised the Spanish talent, but Yamal has dismissed any comparisons to the Argentine legend.

"I'm not going to compare myself to him or anyone else. I leave that to the journalists. I just think about getting better every day."

"This comparison makes no sense, especially with Messi, who is the best in history. I haven't spoken to him," the Spaniard concluded.Telegraph/
