Striker Xherdan Shaqiri has won the 2025 Basel Player of the Year award.
Shaqiri was the main protagonist last year, where he helped Basel win the championship title as well as the Swiss Cup.
With 21 goals and 22 assists, the Kosovo star was the key that Basel needed to win the title, and therefore deservedly received the title of the best player in the world for 2025.
The captain's award was presented by the president of the Swiss Federation, Peter Knabel, who has known Shaqë since he was head coach of the Basel academy.
In addition to Shaqiri, the Basel team also received an award, who were declared "Team of the Year 2025".
Meanwhile, Shaqa has made 20 appearances in all competitions this season, contributing six goals and nine assists during this process.Telegrafi
