Woman found dead in her apartment in Switzerland, husband from Kosovo arrested as suspect

A 55-year-old woman was found dead in her apartment in Obermumpf, Switzerland. Prosecutors suspect murder and have arrested her 60-year-old husband.
The incident took place on Wednesday, March 12. According to reports, the man asked for help from neighbors, telling them that his wife was lying motionless in the bathroom. Shortly after, a call was made to the emergency center of the canton of Aargau.
Medical teams immediately arrived at the scene and attempted to resuscitate the victim, but were unsuccessful. The woman died during the night, Swiss media reported. Argauer Zeitung.
"Due to the circumstances, the authorities have ordered detailed investigations at the scene and forensic examinations to determine the cause of death," said Adrian Schuler, spokesman for the Prosecutor's Office.
Man in custody for three months
Initial evidence from the investigation has raised suspicions of murder, leading to the arrest of the 60-year-old man, a Swiss citizen of Kosovo origin. The prosecution has requested his detention for three months, a request that has now been approved by the judicial authorities.
The investigation is being conducted by the Rheinfelden-Laufenburg Public Prosecutor's Office in cooperation with the Cantonal Police. The exact circumstances of the incident remain unclear and are part of the ongoing investigation.
On social media, the victim's daughter made a touching post in Albanian, writing: "You were our home, our comfort, our greatest happiness."
The post was also shared by the suspect.
Authorities emphasize that until a final decision by the court, the arrested person is considered innocent, referring to the principle of presumption of innocence. /Telegraph/
