Wirtz set to leave, Leverkusen aims to replace him with Real Madrid star

Bayer Leverkusen are at risk of losing their biggest star Florian Wirtz, as many big clubs are after him.

A possible successor could come from Real Madrid and that is Arda Guler, whose minutes at the Spanish club have been limited.

The 19-year-old Turkish international has made 29 appearances for Madrid this season, but has only started half of them.

According to Weltfussball, Guler could leave in the summer and his advisors are said to be considering possible options, including a move to the Bundesliga.

Bayer Leverkusen are interested, but only if Wirtz leaves.

However, Leverkusen would not consider a loan deal for Guler.

They would only pursue a permanent transfer if Madrid were open to selling him, with a buyback clause likely to be included.

In addition to Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan have also expressed interest in him. /Telegraph/
