In an interview with the British magazine Auto Express, Toshihiro Akiwa, the man responsible for Honda's electric vehicle development, explained why developing an electric car worthy of the Type R badge is a complex process.

"Of course, we haven't given up, but it's not just about the power, it's about the sound, the vibrations, the acceleration and the experience you get (with petrol athletes, ed.). These are the pleasures of driving," he declared.
Despite these efforts, Honda is determined to introduce an electric sports car by the end of the decade.
Acura's luxury division has already promised to bring back the third-generation NSX as an electric car by 2028 at the latest. /Telegraph/
