Why some women give birth to only boys and others only girls: It was discovered what influences the baby's gender the most

If you've wondered what gender your baby will be, below find out what science says about this (eternal) question that intrigues future parents and grandparents, aunts, friends and neighbors.
There are several factors that determine this, and here's what it's about: Can a family be "predestined" for one gender?
You may have heard that someone has the “girl gene” or that “the men in that family only have boys.” Although it sounds logical when we look back at the family line, science does not yet confirm the existence of genes that determine whether you will have a girl or a boy.
Research has not shown that there is an inherited pattern that guarantees the birth of children of a certain gender. So - although in some families one gender dominates, it is most likely a coincidence, reports the Telegraph.
Who really decides – mom or dad?
Although most believe that the woman holds the "key" because she also gives birth, the answer lies in the man's genetics.
More precisely – in sperm. While a woman carries two X chromosomes, sperm can carry either an X (for a girl) or a Y (for a boy). Which chromosome reaches the egg first determines the baby's gender.
So: mom gives X, dad decides whether it will be X or Y – a girl or a boy.
Can anything still affect the sex of the child?
Interestingly, science recognizes several factors that can influence a child's sex - even slightly:
stress – During stressful periods, such as natural disasters or pandemics, more girls are born. It is assumed that the mother's body then favors the survival of female babies.
Diet – Research has shown that a diet rich in dairy products and low in salt can increase the chances of conceiving a girl. In contrast, a diet rich in sodium and potassium (salt, bananas, potatoes) is more beneficial for boys.
It's all a matter of probability.
If it seems like only boys or only girls are born in your family, remember the statistics: the chance of three children in a row being born of the same gender is 12.5%. It doesn’t sound like much, but it’s not rare either – you just have to “roll the dice” the same way three times. There are no genetics involved, just probability.
And finally – is there a safe way to “choose” the sex of a child?
Apart from medically assisted fertilization with genetic selection (which is ethically and legally controversial in many countries), there is no safe and natural way to “choose” the sex of a child. Everything else falls into the category of cute theories, household tricks and good old wives’ tales.
Whether you dream of a little girl or a boy – one thing is certain: the most important thing is that the child is healthy and loved. Everything else comes as it should. /Telegraph/
