Why LVV did not vote for other parliament speakers, Haxhiu answers

Albulena Haxhiu, MP for the Vetevendosje Movement and candidate for Speaker of Parliament, was challenged on the "Përballje" show on Telegrafi.com by editor-in-chief Muhamet Hajrullahu for the opposing positions that the Vetevendosje Movement has had in the past towards all votes for Speaker of Parliament.

hajrullahu: If we go back in history, the Vetëvendosje Movement has never voted for any speaker of parliament when it was in opposition?

Pilgrim: Because there was a coalition, that is, they didn't need the votes of the Vetëvendosje Movement because they had the majority.

hajrullahu: But since it was a procedural issue, you were not a unifying factor.

Pilgrim: We find it very important to note the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, but under no circumstances do we think that these, so to speak, are blackmail, nor any other form that can be used by anyone, that can force us to give up our constitutional right and what the Constitutional Court's judgment recognizes for us.

Haxhiu stated that LVV is ready to hold consultations with other political parties to find a way out of the deadlocked situation in the Assembly.

"We are very willing to meet with political parties," said Haxhiu, recalling previous efforts by former Speaker of Parliament Glauk Konjufca to invite parties to consultations, as well as Prime Minister Albin Kurti's invitation to LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku.

Haxhiu emphasized that one of the main points of discussion would be the constitution of the Assembly, emphasizing the responsibility of all parties to find a solution.Telegraph/
