In the podcast "Health First", supported by United Hospital, Clinical Biochemistry specialist, Nerxhivane Gërguri-Retkoceri, brings a clear and practical message about everyday health that laboratory tests are one of the most important ways to monitor and prevent health problems.

She emphasizes that for a healthy person up to the age of 40, it is recommended to have tests done at least once a year.

This is because any disorder in the body's metabolism is directly reflected in certain laboratory parameters.

"Laboratory analyses are like the internal mirror of the organism," explains Gërguri-Retkoceri.

"Every change that occurs within our body, even the smallest, is reflected through analyses, showing us whether the organs are functioning properly," said Gërguri-Retkoceri.

She adds that the annual check-up should include: routine blood tests, glucose parameters, kidney function, liver function, and blood fat tests.
