The Special Prosecution Office, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, carried out an operation in 9 locations in the north of the country in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The police operation carried out in Zvecan and Zubin Potok ended with the escort of 7 people to the police, who after being interviewed were released in a regular procedure.
This police operation came as a result of investigations into the murder of an official of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in 2013.
Audrius Senavicius, from Lithuania, was the first member of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) to be killed in the line of duty since the mission was installed in Kosovo.
He was killed in an ambush in the northern municipality of Zvečan on September 19, 2013, when two EULEX vehicles were attacked as they were returning from the border crossing with Serbia at Jarinje to the south of Mitrovica.
EULEX had offered a reward of 27,500 euros for information leading to the capture of the perpetrator or perpetrators of the murder of a member of this mission, Audrius Senavicius.
At that time, a mixed team of EULEX Police and Kosovo Police investigators conducted investigations.
Meanwhile, in the police operation conducted on Sunday, October 19, 2025, material evidence such as: two weapons, ammunition, clothing with nationalist content, binoculars, documents, various electronic devices, etc. were found and seized during the raids. /Telegraph/
