After the end of the seventh round in the 2025/2026 Champions League league stage, the competition for direct positions in the Top 8 and for the "playoff" zone remains extremely strong, with minimal differences between many teams.
Arsenal continue to be the absolute leader of the standings, with 21 points from seven matches and a perfect balance of seven wins. Behind the Londoners is Bayern Munich with 18 points, while Real Madrid and Liverpool share 15 points each, keeping the race for the top places alive. Liverpool and Bayern Munich are the only ones to have secured a position in the top 8.
The Top 8 zone is extremely tight. Tottenham is fifth with 14 points, while PSG, Newcastle and Chelsea each have 13 points, the same as Barcelona, who currently hold ninth place.
Sporting, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid and Atalanta are also on 13 points, making the fight for the top positions even more open.
Juventus is also positioned in the "playoff" zone, holding 15th place with 12 points, ahead of Borussia Dortmund and Galatasaray.
Who are the eliminated teams?
Kazakhstan side Kairat Almaty have collected just 1 point in their Champions League debut, while Villarreal have also managed just 1 point during this difficult season.
Likewise, Eintracht Frankfurt and Slavia Prague have suffered the same fate, making four teams now mathematically eliminated, with one match remaining.
