Passengers at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport were in for an unexpected surprise Monday when Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. engaged in a heated debate with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy while touting a billion-dollar investment.

Before testing their mettle, the two cabinet secretaries were touting a $1 billion investment to make airports across the country more family-friendly, conducive to good health and better for breastfeeding, the Telegraph reports.

"I don't want you sweating all over your body until you're black," Duffy told The Post after taking off his tie and jacket to do pull-ups when asked about concerns that fitness enthusiasts would attack other travelers with a crazy workout-induced buzz.

"But if you do some good pull-ups, get your blood moving, I think that's positive. This is not like going to the gym, sweating and getting on a plane," he added.

Weeks ago, Duffy launched a courtesy campaign encouraging travelers to be more polite and considerate of others.

He attacked passengers arriving at airports in their pajamas and put his feet on the chair in front of them.

In the end, fitness enthusiast Dr. Paul Saladino came out on top with 21 pull-ups, followed by Kennedy with 20 in the impromptu competition. Duffy managed 10, but was beaten by his daughter, who did 13.

Duffy, 54, and Kennedy, 71, had teamed up to launch a "Make Travel Family Friendly Again" initiative, which leverages $1 billion in funding previously approved by Congress. /Telegraph
