"LDK will reach around 20 percent", Abdixhiku: We will remain in opposition

The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and candidate for prime minister has reacted after the publication of the latest results by the Central Election Commission (CEC).

In a statement to the media, he emphasized that he had wanted to wait for the completion of the counting of all votes before commenting on the results, but according to him, the current political climate has made such a normal process difficult.

He criticized the CEC for the counting method, calling for a return to classical methods, while expressing optimism for the LDK's result.

"LDK will reach around 180 thousand votes and a percentage of approximately 20%, a significant increase from the historical decline. This is a return to base and to our historical numbers," he said.

According to him, even though LDK did not win the elections, the increase in votes for this party, from 12% to around 20%, is an important achievement and proof of civic support.

Speaking about the general post-election situation, he said that this result does not constitute a major change for Kosovo, as citizens have made their choices and they must be respected.

"LDK remains a house of democracy and we will continue our path with calm and determination," he concluded, calling for patience until the full vote count is completed.
