What is the mysterious Delta project?

Polish studio People Can Fly has made a strong case for being the first team to collaborate on two separate games simultaneously with Microsoft and Sony.

After it was recently revealed that the creators of Painkiller, Bulletstorm, and Outriders are working on the video game Gears of War: E-Day, another collaboration has now been announced.

The team has entered into a strategic partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment and will develop a video game for them. Now, the interesting part of the news is that this game is an existing PlayStation IP, i.e. a Sony franchise. The working name “Project Delta” doesn’t tell us much, so the doors for speculation are open.

This Polish team is most skilled at shooting video games and SF themes, and Sony has several franchises that match this combination.

The first candidate is Killzone, which Guerrilla Games abandoned to focus on Horizon. The second candidate is Resistance, which the former president of Insomniac recently said Sony abandoned due to "bad market conditions."

Whatever this “Project Delta” is, it’ll be a long time before we see it. Who knows – maybe it’s a video game they’re already planning for the PlayStation 6. /Telegraph/
