"What happened is unimaginable" - Prince Harry leaves the charity he founded
Prince Harry has decided to leave the charity "Sentbale", which he founded in 2006.
He resigned from his position following a conflict between members of the organization's board of directors and its president, Dr. Sophie Chandauke.
Harry launched this humanitarian organization in collaboration with Prince Seeis of Lesotho with the aim of helping African orphans, fighting poverty and AIDS in Lesotho and Botswana, all in memory of his late mother, Princess Diana, who was one of the most famous humanitarians in the world.
Disagreements over fundraising strategies led to an irreversible breakdown in relations between board members and the president, and in a sign of solidarity with the board, Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso decided to resign.
Dr. Chandauka also refused to step down from her position, claiming that her decisions were guided by the principles of fairness and integrity. Because of all this, the UK Charity Commission launched an investigation into the management of Sentebale.
A Zimbabwean-born lawyer was appointed as the commission president last year, which made everyone unhappy and wanted her to leave, after which she decided to sue them.
In the new situation, she spoke to the Daily Mail and stated that this organization covered up shortcomings, criticized poor executive management, abuse of power, accused of bullying and harassment, and emphasized that some people act as if they are above the law and harass people, then play the victim and use the media they despise. /Telegraph/
