Wesley Clark's testimony begins in The Hague, the last defense witness

The Specialist Chambers in The Hague have begun the testimony process of former General Wesley Clark, who is the last witness for Thaçi's defense.
At the beginning of the court session, the judge announced that they had planned for his testimony to last two days and would be limited in scope.
Clark first took an oath before the judge's shame that he would speak only the truth.
The representative of the US Embassy, Terra Gerhersanem, is also participating in this trial, as Clark is a witness for whom the US has granted authorization.
Hashim Thaçi's lawyer, Luka Misetic, then began asking questions.

Misetic summarized Clark's previous statement to the defense, where he stated that it is unfair to attribute the mistakes of others to Thaçi.
Clark is expected to say that no one in the NATO chain of command had received any information that the armed conflict had continued after June 1999.
He will also describe being aware of the wave of violence in the summer of 1999, following the return of Kosovo refugees, and attributes the violence to various factors, including hatred, revenge, blood feuds, and criminal gangs.
General Clark did not believe that the KLA leadership was engaged in a coordinated effort to target and attack Serbs or minorities, nor that Thaçi had any particular motive for engaging in such behavior.
Clark will describe various interactions he had with the KLA, the Kosovar delegation in Rambouillet, and Thaçi specifically.
.The process of presenting evidence by the defense began on September 15. We recall that in support of the leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, four protests were held in Pristina, The Hague, Tirana and the last one was in Strasbourg. /Telegrafi/
