The Kosovo Police, through the Directorate for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, has provided details regarding the action carried out today in the capital.

The searches were conducted in four different locations, including two private homes, a business premises and an office, in coordination with the Pristina Basic Prosecution Office and by order of the Pristina Basic Court.


"Through the investigations conducted, where special investigative measures were applied, sufficient evidence was obtained to prove criminal offenses such as: 'abuse of official position or authority' and 'taking bribes in the private sector'", the announcement states.

Regarding the case, police announce that among those arrested are three men and one woman.

"It is suspected that four suspects (three Kosovar men and one Kosovar woman) were involved in the above-mentioned criminal offenses, by accepting bribes from various persons who were provided with a weapon permit certificate without their presence, as provided for by the law and other subsequent procedures," the police announced.

During the search, the Police seized 7 mobile phones, files and relevant documents related to the case, while the suspects were interviewed in the presence of the defense attorney and, by decision of the prosecutor, were taken into custody for up to 48 hours. /Telegraph/
