The Mayor of Deçan Municipality, Bashkim Ramosaj, has reacted harshly to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, following the recent debate that has opened regarding the issue of 24 hectares of land in the Deçan Monastery and the statements of the Minister for Communities and Returns, Nenad Rashiq.
Through a post on social media, Ramosaj criticized Kurti's actions and decisions, saying that they do not surprise him.
"Personally, I am not surprised by Albin Kurti's bad actions and decisions, in fact, he acted with the anti-state logic on which this fraudster was built. We will continue to see the fight," Ramosaj wrote.
His reaction comes after Minister Nenad Rashic stated that Kurti had told him that the decision to implement the judgment on 24 hectares of land in the Deçan Monastery was being made "because of him", a statement that has prompted numerous reactions on the political scene.
After this statement, the Government of Kosovo also reacted, saying that Rašić was confused in interpreting the issue and that it was about accepting the request for Patriarch Porfirije's visit, and not about the decision regarding the land of the Deçan Monastery.
Meanwhile, also AAK MP, Daut Haradinaj, has reacted by saying that if Kurti does not deny Rashiq's statement about the land of the Deçan Monastery, then this would be "more than national treason."
Other opposition figures have also reacted to this issue.
Former Prime Minister and Democratic League of Kosovo MP Avdullah Hoti said that Rashiq's statement "completely strips" Kurti of the rhetoric he has used on this topic over the years.
Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Blerta Deliu-Kodra also reacted by saying that Minister Rashiq's statement sheds light on how the decision was made regarding the land of the Deçan Monastery.
There were also reactions from the KLA War Veterans Organization, who emphasized that Minister Rashic's statements show "the true face of the government."
Likewise, the presidential advisor Vjosa Osmani, Meliza Haradinj has stated that issues of sovereignty cannot be treated as personal favors.
She said that allowing this issue to be included in the agreement constitutes one of the most dangerous strategic failures towards the Republic of Kosovo.
The debate over the land issue of the Deçan Monastery has returned to the center of public discussion after recent statements and numerous reactions from across the political spectrum in the country. /Telegraph/
