"We voted for Croatia, but the vote went to Israel," worried fans post messages

Last night (Tuesday), the first semi-final of Eurovision was held, with 10 countries participating.
The only thing that decided who would advance to the finals was the viewers' votes.
Norwegian media reported last night that Norwegians who voted for Marko Bosnjak (Croatia's representative) or number 14, were unpleasantly surprised by the return message.

"Thank you for voting for Israel! You can only vote 20 times, so if you liked the performance, vote again! Enjoy Eurovision 2025," the message read.
"If you had sent 14 to 26900 on Tuesday evening, you would have been informed that you had voted for Israel, not Croatia. VG has received several questions regarding this tonight and has also received the same message," they wrote, later adding the EBU's response to this error.
According to VG; if you voted for number 14 and Croatia, the reply was that you voted for Israel instead.. 🤨 #eurovision pic.twitter.com/32EO77MXJ6

"Our voting partner, Once, has confirmed that a valid vote was registered in all participating countries in this year's first semi-final. Some voters in Norway received an incorrect message during voting, but votes for all countries were registered correctly and this did not affect the result," the EBU told VG.
Specifically, Israel did not compete in the first semi-final, but will perform in the second semi-final on Thursday under number 14. /Telegraph/
