ERO: We support the right of citizens to protest, but the exercise of our duties should not be hindered

The Electricity Regulatory Office reacted today after an action held at the ERO building by activists of the group "Not a Cent More", who had mobilized to oppose warnings about the increase in the price of electricity.
In their response, ERO emphasizes that it is aware of citizens' concerns regarding the current tariff process, expressed today through the protest near ERO offices.
"ERO respects the right of citizens to protest peacefully, as a right guaranteed by the laws of the Republic of Kosovo.
ERO is continuously committed to an open, fair and transparent process in reviewing every comment from citizens and interested parties, ensuring that every decision is made in accordance with applicable legislation.
"Therefore, we ask for the understanding of citizens not to impede the exercise of ERO's duties, in accordance with its mandate," the response states.
Otherwise, activists of the group "Not a Cent More" were arrested today by the Kosovo Police, during an action they carried out in front of the ERO building.
After their arrest, this group reacted by saying that the state is at the service of KEDS.
In a reaction to the media, "Not a Cent More" emphasizes that the police brutally arrested 12 citizens. /Telegraph/
