Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his annual press conference, also spoke about the army and the defense system.
He stated that Albania has Javelin missiles and three patrol ships, reports Top Channel.
Among other things, the head of government stated that Albania today has the best-paid army in the region.
"We have the best-paid army in the region, including Serbia. Our ambition is for our army to reach the average of NATO countries in terms of financial resources. This year we find a Javelin missile system, we find three patrol ships that we have as a gift from Italy, we find radars thanks to cooperation with France. What remains the main ambition is for Albania to be a country producing military industry.
"We will produce combat drones and anti-drone systems. In 2026 you will see the first products. We continue to work to make other contracts for the maritime and aviation industry," said Prime Minister Rama.
