"We face the kings", Jose Mourinho reacts for the first time after the Champions League draw

After defeating Real Madrid 4–2 and securing qualification for the Champions League play-offs, Benfica have been drawn again to face the Spanish giants in this stage of the competition.
Reacting to the draw, former Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho, who currently manages Benfica, said the choices were very limited.
"We only had two options, Real Madrid or Inter. We didn't have many choices. We drew the king."
Mourinho also told an episode after the last match between the two teams, emphasizing the greatness of the Madrid club.

"The other day, when a Real Madrid player offered me his shirt after the match, I jokingly showed my players the crest they had on their shirts, 15 of them. They are the kings. With everything that that implies."
"It's not just history. We will play against, perhaps, the biggest contender to win this competition," Mourinho added.
An elimination against Benfica in the playoff stage would constitute a monumental failure for Real Madrid, given the club's status and ambitions in the Champions League.Telegrafi
