Vushtrri starts drafting the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan

Within the framework of the project "Move Safe+: Strengthening Sustainable Urban Mobility in Southeastern Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia", the Municipality of Vushtrri, in cooperation with UN-Habitat Kosovo, organized today the first one-day workshop for the drafting of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for the city.
At the opening of the workshop, the Mayor of the Municipality, Ferit Idrizi, emphasized the importance of this comprehensive process, which aims to make Vushtrri a more accessible, safer and greener city for all citizens. “Through the Mobility Plan, we aim to build sustainable mobility in Vushtrri, that is, to make movement in our city easier, safer and with a completely green environment,” declared Idrizi.
The workshop was attended by representatives from UN-Habitat, the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, the National Institute of Spatial Planning, the Technical Faculty of the University of Pristina, the Police, the Islamic Community, HANDIKOS Vushtrri, transport operators, driving schools, local non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders.
This activity marks the first step towards developing a sustainable urban system for the city, which aims to improve the quality of mobility, safety and the environment for the citizens of Vushtrri. /Telegrafi/
