Is Vucic responsible for the explosion in the Ibër-Lepenc canal, say analysts in Belgrade

The representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy and Security, Kaja Kalas, after the meetings with the President of Serbia and the Prime Minister of Kosovo, said that the only way for the membership of the two countries in the EU is the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.

"The only path to membership in the EU is the normalization of their relations, based on the Ohrid Agreement", wrote Kaja Kallas on the "X" platform, where she posted photos from the separate meetings with Albin Kurti and Aleksandar Vucic.

It should be noted that after the terrorist attack in Banjska, in the north of Kosovo, a little more than a year later, another incident occurred where, unlike in Banjska, fortunately no one was killed, but the explosion of an explosive placed in the Ibër- Lepenc, even the citizens of the north of Kosovo were left without water, while the official Belgrade, i.e. the regime of Aleksandar Vučić, was again attacked by a part of the international community, as a possible organizer of this act.

Unlike Banjska, there is an impression that the president of Serbia increasingly and drastically rejects the responsibility of official Belgrade for the tragic case.

"The first messages of Kaja Kallas about dialogue from the position of the head of European diplomacy are a signal for the continuation of the policy of the European Commission (EC) towards dialogue, as well as a message to the parties that for the EC there is no review of the agreements reached so far , for which they constantly declare that they are legally binding for Kosovo and Serbia", he said for "Today" Milica Rakiq Andriq from the New Social Initiative.

"Respecting the Brussels agreement is part of chapter 35 of Serbia and the stabilization agreement with Kosovo, and in this respect there is nothing new in the claim that normalization is a condition for EU membership," she emphasizes, Telegrafi reports.

Sonja Biserko, head of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights, says that it is clear that the new composition of the European Commission hints at a new EU report towards Serbia.

"Also, it is clear that Kaja Kallas with this attitude hints that the improvement of relations between Serbia and Kosovo is a condition for both countries on the way to European integration", she emphasizes.

According to Biserko, Serbia is entering a phase when it will no longer be able to be irresponsible towards Brussels as before.

As she says, it is certain that the EU will also have to adapt to recent events.

"It is clear that Vucic is looking at how far he can go, but let's not overlook the fact that the EU, by electing new people to high positions, is aware that it is entering a new phase with the Serbian authorities" , says Biserko.

Biserko specifically points out that official Belgrade constantly belittles and changes in relation to European integration.

"In his statements, Vučić leaves room for information from unofficial circles... Is he guilty or not for the terrorist attacks in Kosovo... What happened in Kosovo regarding the bomb in the Ibër-Lepenc canal resembles hybrid activities in which he is involved Russia", she emphasizes.

We recall that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, in a conversation with the new head of diplomacy of the European Union, Kaja Kallas, requested that Serbia hand over to the Kosovar authorities Milan Radoiciq as the organizer of the attack in Banjska on September 24, 2023.

After the meeting in Brussels, Kurti said he was optimistic that Kallas is "at the right time and in the right place" and that the region will benefit from this. /Telegraph/
