Vote counting in Albania ends, PS gets 83 seats, DP loses 2 more

A few minutes before midnight, the CEC announced that the counting of party votes across Albania had been completed, although only 5208 out of 5225 ballot boxes were reflected on the official website.

According to official figures reported by the Central Election Commission, the votes in each district translated into mandates, give a picture where the Socialist Party leads by a large number of mandates.

Thus, the Socialists have received another mandate in Vlora, taking their total to 83 mandates, with their best results in Tirana, Fier, Durrës, Elbasan and Vlora, reports Tch.

The coalition led by the Democratic Party has lost two mandates in a few minutes, the one in Vlora and one in Tirana that was taken by Agron Shehaj's Mundësia party.

The DP has dropped to 50 mandates while the Opportunity has 2 mandates.

As for other parties, Tom Doshi's PSD is the third political force in the Assembly with 3 mandates, the "Initiative Albania Becomes" coalition has 1 mandate, while the Together Movement has 1 mandate.

The Socialist Party ranks first with over 251 thousand votes more than the Democratic Party, not including the votes of the Diaspora.
