View from two angles: Was Liverpool harmed by referee Michael Oliver against Everton?

Liverpool fans are outraged after seeing a corner of Everton's late equaliser in the Merseyside derby.

A controversial late goal from captain James Tarkowski secured a 2-2 draw in the last Merseyside derby to ever be played at Goodison Park.

The goal was initially checked for offside and then for a possible foul, but was ultimately allowed, causing the two teams to share the points.

But after the match, Liverpool fans took to social media to express their anger and disbelief after seeing a new angle of the goal.

Shortly after the match, footage from a VAR review emerged online that appears to show Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate heading towards Everton's first goalscorer Beto, stopping him from potentially clearing the ball before Tarkowski could have hit it.

Reacting to the photo, one fan wrote: "I thought it was a foul on Konate, it was unlikely to be given in such circumstances."

While another admitted: "It was a foul, but it was not expected that case would be reviewed."

And another wrote: "Look, it won't change the result, but again, I don't care what anyone says, because it was a foul on Konate."

Manchester United fan Mark Goldbridge also argued: "Of course happy with that Everton goal, but even as a United fan it's a foul on Konate. You can't take someone off the ball like that."
