Speaking in his conversation on The Bridge Show with Aurelien Tchouamenin, Real Madrid legend Raphael Varane explained the decision to leave Real Madrid in 2021.
"It took a long time... I don't decide this overnight," Varane initially stated on the show.
"Real Madrid is on top. I won my fourth Champions League and it was nothing special, it was normal."
"Then, I won the World Cup, I needed a new adventure," Varane added.
Varane won 4 Champions Leagues, 4 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 3 Spanish Super Cups, 3 La Liga titles, 1 Spanish Cup and 3 Spanish Super Cups before leaving Real Madrid.
After leaving Real Madrid, Varane's career went downhill. He never reached those levels again and retired from football in 2024 after leaving Man United for Como. /Telegraph/
