Vancouver Auto Show removes Tesla stand

Tesla will not have a booth at the Vancouver International Auto Show. The decision was announced by Eric Nicholl, executive director of the show, which opens today at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Nicholl explained that the American automaker has received extensive advice to voluntarily withdraw from the exhibition.

In simple terms, the American electric vehicle manufacturer is – excluded.

“The Vancouver Auto Show’s primary expectation is the safety of visitors, exhibitors and staff,” Nicholl added.

"This decision will ensure that all participants can focus exclusively on enjoying the many positive elements of the event," he asserted.

Canadians have launched a wave of protests under the name "Tesla Takedown" to condemn CEO Elon Musk and his role in the administration of US President Donald Trump.

Hundreds of people participated in the anti-Tesla protest in Vancouver last Saturday, in front of the brand's showroom.

As you know, relations between the US and Canada in recent days have been far from ideal. /Telegraph/
