Usyk wants to debut in a new sport and fight Jake Paul

The 38-year-old Ukrainian boxer, Oleksandr Usyk, has been the undisputed world champion for almost a year.

He achieved this title after defeating Tyson Fury in May last year and winning the WBC title, the last one he was missing. He defended all of these titles against the same boxer in December and is now waiting for his next fight.

Considering he has defeated most of the greatest boxers, he has a hard time finding an opponent.

His next fight is scheduled to be against Briton Daniel Dubois, but Usyk is no stranger to influencer and boxer Jake Paul.

His manager, Sergey Lapin, has outlined the plans in an interview with OLBG, where a fight outside of boxing is not ruled out.

"Usyk is fighting for his legacy. He wants to be remembered as one of the best in history and we'll see which fight will present him with the biggest challenge," Lapin initially said.

"It would be great for him to fight Paul and he is very interested in it, but exclusively under MMA rules."

"It's a fight that would be very interesting if there was money in it. UFC champion Alex Pereira would also be a good opponent," Usyk's manager concluded. /Telegraph/
