At a memorial ceremony held today in the village of Rashiq, Peja, a memorial plaque was inaugurated in honor of the 18 martyrs and martyrs who were forcibly disappeared on April 7, 1999 – 13 fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army and 5 civilians who fell into an ambush organized by Serbian forces.
Even after 26 years, their fate remains unknown. However, their memory remains alive and unbreakable, as does the institutional commitment to seeking justice.
On this occasion, the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, emphasized the unwavering commitment of the institutions to clarify the fate of the forcibly disappeared persons. She reiterated that this issue is not only a moral and national obligation, but also a state and international obligation.
"There will be no justice without the truth about their fate. Glory to the martyrs, justice for the victims! Honor to the families who wait and do not stop seeking truth and justice", declared Minister Haxhiu./Telegraph/
