Members of the Ukrainian military's special operations groups have repelled an attack by North Korean troops in Russia's Kursk region, killing 17 North Korean soldiers.

The battle, the date of which is not usually announced, lasted from morning until evening. During this time, soldiers from the 6th Special Operations Forces Regiment killed 17 North Korean soldiers, the Telegraph reports.

In the morning, the Special Forces clearing team left and encountered a surviving North Korean soldier. He set a trap that the Ukrainians did not fall into.

The North Korean fighter tried to trick the soldiers and blow himself up with a grenade. When SOF soldiers approached him, he blew himself up.

The Special Forces soldiers noticed the danger in time and quickly left the impact area. No one was hurt. /Telegraph/
