The Ukrainian Air Force has released footage of a MiG-29 fighter pilot destroying a Russian drone.

“Denfix is ​​a pilot of the tactical aviation brigade of the Zakhid Air Command. One of his tasks is to destroy Russian missiles and drones. The enemy increases their number during his attacks. All military assets and personnel are engaged in repelling missile attacks: anti-aircraft missile units. If necessary, fighter jets take to the air to intercept targets,” the Ukrainian military said.

The air force notes that the Russians usually launch Shahed drones at night, but recently they have also attacked in the morning, the Telegraph reports.

The pilot, who has destroyed dozens of drone missiles, said that detecting and destroying drones is easier during the day.

"Unlike night combat missions, I could clearly see the target in the field of view. After the explosion, I felt happy that I was doing a good deed and that I had the opportunity to see with my own eyes a destroyed enemy drone that never reached its target and did not cause damage to our land," the press service of the Air Command quoted the pilot as saying. /Telegraph/
