US soldiers in Kosovo with new capabilities against air threats

US soldiers from the Eastern Regional Command within the framework of the NATO peacekeeping mission, KFOR, have recently conducted specialized training on the detection, tracking and neutralization of drones – an increasingly necessary skill in the current security environment.
The devices used in this training work by interrupting the drone's control frequencies, forcing it to return to the operator.
They can also interfere with GPS/GNSS signals, causing the drone to hover, land, or even crash.
According to KFOR, such exercises enhance the technical capabilities of troops and emphasize the importance of coordination, teamwork and adaptability to new aerial threats.
These capacities have already been used in operational situations, increasing the effectiveness of the mission in the face of emerging challenges.
The mission emphasizes that it cooperates closely with the Kosovo Police and EULEX, each in its own role as responsible for security. /Telegraph/
