UEFA will upset football fans with the venue for the 2027 Champions League final

European football's governing body, UEFA, has entered into negotiations with US-based Relevent Sports for global commercial rights to European men's club competitions from 2027, The Independent can reveal.

What this means is that the UEFA Champions League final could soon be held away from Europe for the first time in history, in the United States.

Relevent Sports is at the forefront of organizing major soccer competitions in the US, having successfully hosted the Copa America in June.

If UEFA manages to sign a deal with Relevent Sports, which is more than likely, it would end their relationship with TEAM Marketing, who have been responsible for all of the prominent Champions League branding.

If the deal with Relevent goes through, it would leave more than 170 people unemployed at TEAM Marketing. /Telegraph/
