UEFA releases the goalkeepers with the most saves in the Conference League – including Amir Saipi

The home of European football, UEFA, has published today (Monday) the list of goalkeepers with the most saves in the Conference League.

Among the five names listed is that of Kosovar goalkeeper Amir Saipi, who is shining with his performances this season at Lugano.

Saipi is in fifth position with a total of 28 saves made so far in the Conference League.

Ahead of him are Vid Belec (Apoel) with 30 saves, Filip Manojlovic (Borac) with 30 saves, Lawrence Ati-Zigi (St.Gallen) with 31 saves and Connor Roberts (The New Saints) who leads with 33 saves.

Saipi's high form with Lugano led to him receiving an invitation from coach Franco Foda for the two matches against Iceland in the 'play-off' for inclusion in the Nations League B.

In fact, he made his second appearance with the 'Dardans' jersey in the return match that took place in Spain.

There he was among the most distinguished players on the field, as he denied the Icelanders several good scoring opportunities with his fantastic saves.
