UEFA publishes the four most expensive teams in the world – the first place will shock you

A new report from UEFA has revealed that, by the end of the 2024 financial year, Chelsea will have built the most expensive team ever. 

As Sky Sports reported, a UEFA report has revealed the staggering cost of the Chelsea team, which is valued at over 1.6 billion euros. 

This number overshadows Real Madrid, who previously had the most expensive team ever in 2020, when their value stood at 1.12 billion euros. 

Four teams in total are reported to have a cost of over 1 billion euros and they are Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal. 

Furthermore, Liverpool, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Newcastle and West Ham all feature in the top 20, with the latter having in some ways built a more valuable team than Barcelona. 

The Premier League's financial report is understated by the fact that 60 percent of the teams in the top 10 are from England. 

The only European clubs in the top 10 most valuable are Real Madrid, PSG, Juventus and Inter. 

In the summer, everyone can expect staggering spending from the Premier League, as we remember that last summer the 20 elite clubs spent around 2 billion euros on reinforcements.Telegraph/
