The biggest European football house UEFA has distributed money to 901 football clubs.
UEFA has distributed 233 million euros to 901 clubs from 55 European football federations.
The program rewards clubs for releasing players in UEFA national team competitions, which include the 2020/21 and 2022/23 Nations League, European Qualifiers and the EURO 2024 final tournament.
The total figures represent an increase of €33 million on the previous cycle that culminated in UEFA EURO 2020, with a record number of clubs also receiving payments.
The club benefits program doesn't just reward elite clubs - several seventh division teams, and even a tenth division team, England's Yorkshire Amateur, have received payments through the scheme.
The increased figures for EURO 2024 are the result of the close relationship between UEFA and the European Club Association (ECA), with the agreed distribution mechanism ensuring that clubs receive an equal share for each released player for each UEFA Nations League and European Qualifiers match, as well as a fixed amount per player per day during the final tournament, adjusted according to FIFA's categorisation of club training categories.
Kosovo has won 120,747,00 euros from UEFA, while Balkan is the team that has won the most.
The reigning champion of Kosovo has won 76,839 thousand euros, while immediately behind is Llapi with 32,931 thousand euros. Among other Kosovo clubs, Dukagjini i Klina has also benefited with an amount of 10,977 thousand euros.
Players like Albion Rrahmani, Lumbardh Dellova, Lindon Emërllahu and Meriton Korenica were recruited from the Balkans to the Kosovo National Team, while from Llapi there were names like Ilir Avdyli, Ilir Krasniqi or Muhamet Hyseni.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Kenan Haxhihamza was recruited to the national team from Dukagjini i Klina during that period. /Telegraph/
