UEFA account hacked ahead of Barcelona-Inter match

The official UEFA Champions League Instagram account was recently hacked ahead of the match between Barcelona and Inter.

Fraudsters tried to use the federation's account to scam people out of their money.

A post was made on Instagram with the caption: “Introducing UEFA Unity Coin ($UUC) – the official digital currency of the UEFA Champions League, redefining fan engagement in football and Web3.”

The post also had a strange code written at the end, which made it even clearer that it was a scam attempt by hackers.

UEFA managed to recover its account and delete this post before it caused any harm or loss to any fans. /Telegraph/
