New UEFA rankings reveal which countries will have five teams in the Champions League next season

European football's governing body, UEFA, has updated their rankings following the Champions League quarter-finals that were played on Tuesday.

The top two nations in the rankings will have five teams in the Champions League next season 2025/26.

Thus, England leads the standings with 25,3392 points. This means that 5 Premier League teams will appear in the new Champions League edition.

Spain comes in second, but Italy is right behind them. If Real Madrid can beat Arsenal and Barcelona continue to advance in the competition, La Liga will also have five teams in the Champions League next season.

However, Italy has a great chance of overtaking Spain if Inter and Lazio continue to progress in Europe.

This is the current ranking from UEFA, based on points.

England 25,392 points

Spain 22,606 points

Italy 20,437 points

Germany 18,296 points

France 16,642 points

Portugal 16,250 points

Belgium 15,650 points

Netherlands 15.250 point
