UBT Rector, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, part of the World Economic Forum in Davos 2026

The Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, has been invited and registered to participate in the World Economic Forum 2026, which will be held in Davos, Switzerland.
The Rector's participation in the Open Forum Davos – The Future Starts Now 2050 represents an important international recognition for UBT and its role in higher education, innovation and sustainable development.
This participation also represents a unique opportunity to contribute directly to global discussions and meetings that shape the future, as well as to present the UBT 5S model and the UBT Smart Self-Sustainable City concept, as models of the future.
This model fully aligns with the key topics to be addressed at the Open Forum Davos, reflecting a contemporary approach to sustainable development and preparing human capital for the challenges of the future.
The model, conceived by Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi and implemented in practice, is finding more and more interest in presentations, studies and publications, and is being evaluated as a practical model already implemented in the UBT ecosystem. This year's program in Davos focuses on five major global challenges, where public-private dialogue and cooperation are essential for progress.
At the center of the discussions are economic growth, sustainability, and innovation as cross-cutting imperatives that will guide leaders' approach to global complexity and the creation of future opportunities.
The World Economic Forum in Davos brings together world leaders from governments, business, civil society and academia, with the aim of developing advanced dialogue and global cooperation to address the most important challenges of our time.
