Two wanted persons with international warrants are extradited from Albania to Kosovo

The Kosovo Police, namely the Directorate for International Police Cooperation, in coordination and cooperation with other relevant units of the Kosovo Police and with justice institutions, on 09.03.2026, extradited two Albanians from Albania to Kosovo.
According to a media release, the same individuals were arrested by Albanian authorities after being wanted through INTERPOL with an international warrant issued by Kosovo justice institutions, involved in separate cases, one for the criminal offense of 'drug cultivation', while the other for the criminal offense of 'aggravated theft'.
"Both extraditions were carried out based on the laws in force and thanks to close cooperation between the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and the Albanian ones, while after the extradition the suspects were handed over to the relevant police units of the Peja and Prizren regions," the announcement states.
Meanwhile, as stated in the announcement, the Kosovo Police, through its units, will continue to exchange information with local institutions, states and international organizations, with the aim of preventing, investigating and detecting criminal activities related to the investigation of perpetrators of criminal offenses. /Telegraph/
